		<description>I think if we keep telling the advertisers that we count and so does our money then maybe we can make a change.
Over 25 years over there was a survey done about people buying what they see themselves wearing. It found out that African Americans wanted to see themselves in the catalogs that were predominately white. It was slow and the pages started to show all of us in catalogs. I was very happy to be in the advertising dept. of Bloomingdale&#039;s back then and I was able to help pick models for some of our photo shoots. We didn&#039;t need a survey (although some did) to know that it was only right to include everyone so maybe now it is time to include all sizes.</description>

		<description>Elizabeth, thanks for posting this!  I&#039;m glad at least one magazine has seen the light.  There are a few catalog companies that have recently started using &quot;normal&quot; (not &quot;plus-size&quot;) models in their mailings--Chico&#039;s is one--and they are to be applauded as well. Maybe some reality is s-l-o-o-o-w-l-y finding its way into the world of fashion/beauty advertising--how nice!</description>
